Project background
We have observed hundreds of different products, all of which are natural in material selection, good in quality, simple and generous in design, comfortable and convenient to use, and fine in production technology. Moreover, the main colors of most products are white, beige, black and log color. During the observation, we found that MUJI has many categories, but there are few camping equipment, so we thought it might be a good choice to start with camping equipment.

Basic situation: Because of the pressure of daily life, the current situation of urbanisation or emotional distress,
We want them to choose to escape from reality through camping, re-estabect a connection with nature, and experience the long-lost peace.
The situation in which the incident occurred
The protagonist of the story usually chooses a place far from the city, such as forests, mountains, lakes or wilderness, to camp alone. Here, loneliness becomes a theme. When facing the desolation and unknown of nature, the characters gradually experience the heart.

How to find design opportunities:MUJI has fewer categories of camping products. Although there are various camping products on the market, there are few products that can convey emotional value through nature itself, so I want to start designing from this aspect.
Product definitionWhen it rains when users are camping outdoors, the rain will hit the keys on the table, making a crisp sound, calming users' emotions and being able to immerse themselves in the natural environment more calmly.

In this course, I learned a lot in the process of making physical objects, such as thinking about the size, being insensitive to the size, not being completely clear about what I do, the gap between 3d simulation and realistic scaffolding, the fact that many expected structures may not be realized in reality, and the communication between offline suppliers, many suppliers are not so sincere and reliable, etc. In this process, many structures have been realized, but there are also many regrets, and many structures are not as expected at first, and there are also many workmanship.

In this course, I learned a lot from the previous research, scheme determination, sketch drawing, model making and other environments. Unfortunately, because the materialization of the model is not fine enough, the overall effect is not satisfactory. Secondly, when the scheme was confirmed, some physical defects were left behind, which may limit the sound of the rain drum. In the future, designing a product must go through many in-depth considerations, which will pave the way for the realization of the entity.

Product Interaction and Situational Design is a course that closely combines theory and practice. Through learning, I deeply understand the core principles of contextual design: design should serve life, go deep into the user's world, emphasize teamwork, and deeply understand the importance of user experience. The course made me realize that design is not only the beautification of appearance, but more importantly, how to establish a smooth and intuitive interactive relationship between products and users. Through the concept of "Life's Wheel of Joy" and its four components - sense of accomplishment, connection, identity, and perception - I realized that design is not only about solving practical tasks, but also about touching the emotional level of the user. Unfortunately, I did not consider enough in the design of the lamp shaft, resulting in the expected effect can not be well achieved, which is the need for improvement.
