Children's tableware
The giant yellow bear, a landmark at Qatar's Hamad Airport, is a famous clocking spot for Internet celebrities. It was bought by the Qatari royal family for $6.8 million from Swiss artist Urs Fischer. The bear, according to the official description, "is a lively and lovely creation that humanizes the space around it and reminds visitors of their childhood and treasures from their hometown." The bear's highly saturated yellow color is memorable, and we wanted to bring this lively childlike feeling to our children's plates.
During the whole process, we went through three iterations, and finally pushed the simple and cute version, using the classic color scheme of QATAR AIRWAYS, and the simplified shape of Hamad Airport's light bear. In the details of the design, we make the dish can be just combined with the tray, which will lead to the structure is stable enough, children are not easy to spill the food when eating. After determining the effect, we made a model of children's tableware.

Adult tableware
In terms of reference elements, firstly, in order to increase the passengers' memory of the QATAR AIRWAY and make the connection between adult tableware and children's tableware, the shape of bear's paw was referenced in the design of the dinner plate. Second, Qatar is a country with a land to desert ratio of 10:9, and enjoys the reputation of "desert pearl" in the world. In order to highlight the national characteristics, we have adopted a simulation of the curvature of the desert on the tableware design, especially the plastic food cover. Third, in real production, in order to reduce costs and save energy and environmental protection, we can use the thinnest shape design as possible in the supporting part of the plate, and use green materials.
The first draft of this design adopts a more concrete form. In the subsequent modification, in order to be closer to the preferred style of adult users and more in line with the uniform tone of the whole group of products, we made a simple overlapping of product lines. In the process of modeling, we have made some attempts in the maintenance of the overall shape landing and the realization of the nested mode of each module. After determining the effect, we made a model of adult tableware.

Elemental extraction from the Stadium de Lussel.usel Stadium is the "crown jewel" of the Qatar World Cup. The shape is the traditional Arab gold bowl, also known as the "golden bowl", which draws on Arab architecture and is inspired by Islamic date palm bowls and enamel lanterns, which is very Middle Eastern style. Relevant person introduction: General local families will use this gold bowl to put some dried fruit when entertaining guests to express the host's hospitality. The final field was selected in such a golden bowl shaped Lusel, the deep meaning behind it is to express Qatar's welcome and enthusiasm to the world.
QATAR AIRWAYS, as an important sponsor of the Qatar World Cup, borrowed the golden bowl shape of the stadium to reflect the national image of hospitality and increase the cultural connotation of the product. The combination with the glass can also adapt to the economy class space, and you can also enjoy the atmosphere created by the light when eating, and the overall effect of improving the dining experience.
In order to cooperate with 3d printing to present a better effect, the model improvement is mainly adjusted for the density of the pattern and the height of the bump. The final material part gave up acrylic, but directly used translucent printing materials and resin rings to achieve a soft light effect.

Aviation toy
During the journey, if the child's attention is distracted by the toy, it can reduce their anxiety and restlessness for a long time . In the preliminary research, we found that QATAR AIRWAYS toys are only used for viewing, and can not produce more interaction with users . Therefore, we plan to design a puzzle toy, which can be combined with the iconic buildings, landmarks, aircraft models or IP of QATAR AIRWAYS, so as to increase interaction and leave a deeper impression on passengers.
We first chose Qatar's bulb bear as the combination object, but in the process of later reasoning, we found that the height difference of this bear is huge, the combination with Huarong Road is not so perfect, and the prominent part will increase the packaging cost of the toy. Therefore, the 25th anniversary of the QATAR AIRWAYS 777-300ER model was selected as the object of painting for the aviation toy. This allows passengers to leave a QATAR AIRWAYS memory after the end of their trip.
In terms of modeling, we simplified the aircraft on the basis of the original, and made it into a semi-three-dimensional form. In the third version of the model, we tilted the aircraft onto the model. This version solved the problem of blank space in Huarong Road, and made the model more visually full. In the last version, the opening key of the model was modified, and the overall structure was integrated with the shell of Huarong Road to avoid the problem of parts falling in use.
The color scheme and painting scheme of the overall model were determined by rendering: the color scheme was based on the classic color scheme of QATAR AIRWAYS, while the painting was based on the 700-333ER aircraft. Next is the production process of the physical model, the overall process is basically the same as that of other team members: 3d printing, material preparation and spraying in turn.

In the design of the Agarwood-scented wax tablet, the original plan was to directly print the shape of the product body to make silicone film, and then choose a direct printing mold to improve the production rate of the product, pour wax, and then release the product after cooling. The mold printing material is white nylon.
In this experiment, the situation was frequent, because the mold oil was not brushed in advance, the gap between the push mold hole and the push rod was too small to be printed by 3D printing, and there was no bevel in the mold, resulting in the difficulty of film pouring. Therefore, we changed the response plan, using the silicone film reversing process to find a specific shape of the model for silicone mold, after the wax water cooling solidified for repair, drilling holes and ribbon and other work. After many experiments, the product repeatedly adjusted the shape of the inverted mold, so that its plane is smooth and delicate, the facade is rough, the details are exquisite, and the overall touch is warm.
In terms of packaging design, we use the vacuum process to vacuum the plastic packaging, and the characteristics of the product are clearly displayed, making it a more complete product in appearance.
